Loutraki is a famous (since antient ages) greek thermal resort nearby Athens (81 km, 1h 15 min).Besides it’s a sea resort also. Loutraki has a wide sea side promenade along wide pebble beach faced to the west with amazing sunsets quite in all area. Staying in Loutraki for a vacation it is easy to explore neighborhood — Mycenae (50 km. 41 min) and Epidaurus (70 km, 1 h 8 min). There is Corinth next door to Loutraki (8 km, 12 min). Mineral water goes in Loutraki everywhere so you can drink it or take a bath right in hotel room. It’s easy to get to Loutraki from Athen (81 km, 1 h 8 min) and it’s reacheble area with KTEL bus, you can take also a car.

  • Moni Osiou Patapiou monastery — nearby Loutraki (7.8 km 17 min by car and 3,2 km 50 min by foot to a hill) with stunning panoramic views. The monastery of Saint Patapios of Egypt was founded at the place, where St. Patapios lived and prayed in small cave (it is still here).
  • Lake Vouliagmeni — nature reserve nearby Loutraki (15 km 25 min) quiet, no waves even it blows- it is a good alternative for windy days on the sea

You can enjoy it, coming for performance: Athens and Epidaurus Festival aefestival.gr After the show recommendation to drop in café nearby — to wait when a crowd has gone, instead of waiting this time in traffic jam.
